Automotive op amp exhibits low noise

The AS2376Q op amp from Diodes provides low input noise density of 9.5 nV/√Hz at 1 kHz and low frequency noise of 0.8 µVPP from 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz. These low-noise specifications make the automotive-grade amplifier suitable for onboard chargers, DC/DC converters, battery management system implementations, and occupancy detection systems.

A gain bandwidth product of 5.5 MHz enables the AS2376Q to handle 50-kHz signals without significant loss of signal accuracy. Low-noise operation, coupled with rail-to-rail output, enhances signal integrity. The op amp also has a low offset voltage of 5 µV typical. It operates from a supply voltage of 2.2 V to 5.5 V with quiescent current of 760 µA typical, 950 µA maximum.

A second op amp, the AS2333Q, provides a quiescent current of just 12 µA on each amplifier channel. This allows the part to be used in systems that remain live at all times. Common-mode rejection of 120 dB typical across its rail-to-rail input range and near-zero drift of 0.02 µV/°C typical over time and temperature provide long-term signal accuracy in wide common-mode rail applications. The device can use single or dual supplies as low as 1.8 V (±0.9 V) and up to 5.5 V (±2.75 V).
