LDO regulators trim standby power

Three low-dropout voltage regulators from Toshiba provide a wide input voltage range and quiescent current consumption of just 1 µA typical. Useful for both consumer devices and industrial equipment, the TCR1HF18B, TCR1HF33B, and TCR1HF50B furnish output voltages of 1.8 V, 3.3 V, and 5.0 V, respectively.

The devices accept a wide input voltage range of 4 V to 36 V, which allows them to connect to the 4-V to 20-V power supply used for USB PD, as well as a 24-V power supply. Their quiescent current of 1 µA is among the industry’s lowest and enables electronic equipment to maintain standby operation with very low power consumption. Fast load transient response ensures a stable output when products transition from standby to an operating state.
